Dr. Urs Daniel Schmid was born in Kalukembe, Angola, where his parents were missionaries. Since 1972, he has been actively involved in evangelism and making disciples. He completed his theological education with a Doctorate in Revival History at the University of Basel. After serving on staff with Camus Crusade for Christ in Switzerland, he became the Pastor for Evangelism at the Assemblies of God Church in Zurich in 2001.
After serving as an evangelist for many years, he felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to produce training material that would equip churches for successful evangelistic projects. Since 2010, this calling has led him to more than 25 countries, where he continually witnesses how the ten topics of the LiFe Toolbox empower churches to carry out the joyful, fruitful, and ongoing evangelistic efforts.
Today, he also provides leadership training as the Switzerland Co-Chair in the Global Church Network, serving scores of nations worldwide. He and his wife, Lilian, have been marries since 1980. They have three grown sons that live in Zurich, Switzerland.
